English Translation of Al-Quran
[23].Surah Al-Muminun [The Believers]
Ayat 72. Or is it that you wish for some wages? (off course not), the recompense of your Lord is better, and He is the Best of those who give sustenance.
Ayat 73. And certainly, you (first the Prophet PBUH and than Muslim Ummah) call them to a Straight Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism).
Ayat 74. And verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed deviating far astray from the Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism).
[Tafseer] of ayat 72. Or is it that thou asks them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance. This is the last of the questions, beginning with 23:68 above, showing the absurdity of the position taken up by the Unbelievers. (1) The Message of Allah is as old as humanity; why do they fight shy of it? (2) They have known their Prophet to be true and righteous: why do they deny him? (3) Is it madness to bring the bitter Truth before them? (4) Does the Prophet ask any worldly reward from them? If not, why do they reject his unselfish efforts for their own good? its clarify in ayat 73. But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; and in ayat 74. And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are deviating from that Way

Hazrat Masruq (May Allah be pleased with him) said: We visited `Abdullah bin Masud (May Allah be pleased with him) and he said to us: O people! He who has the knowledge of any matter may convey it to the others. And he who has no knowledge, thereof, should say: "Allahu a`lam (Allah knows better).'' It is a part and parcel of knowledge that a man who has no knowledge of a matter should say: "Allah knows better.'' Allah said to His Prophet [SAWW](PBUH): "Say (O Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH)): `No wage do I ask of you for this (the Qur'an), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist).''' (38:86)
[Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 60, Hadith # 333].
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Muminun Ayat 72."is it that you wish for some wages? (off course not), the recompense of your Lord is betterIf one does not know about something, he should not say anything about it by way of conjecture, speculation and guesswork because this is also pretension which is forbidden. When religious scholars are asked about anything which they do not know, they should confess their ignorance. Such a confession is also a mark of scholarship. In other words, they should abstain from giving verdict about any matter without making a thorough study and research on it.
